The Opportunity:

We are seeking an inspiring Science Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department. This role offers the chance to contribute to the academic, spiritual, and moral development of young people while supporting the school’s ongoing growth. The position includes opportunities for professional development and the ability to teach across key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology or Chemistry to Key Stage 5 students.
  • Deliver lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Key Stage 4 students.
  • Support the development of the Science department and contribute to its continued success.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that promote academic achievement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and curriculum development.
  • Engage in pastoral care and contribute to the overall well-being of students.
  • Assist in the delivery of BTEC Health & Social Care and BTEC Medical Science courses where applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Proven track record of academic success and commitment to comprehensive education.
  • Ability to teach Biology or Chemistry to Key Stage 5.
  • Ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to Key Stage 4.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching BTEC Health & Social Care or BTEC Medical Science.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the Catholic ethos and Gospel values.
  • Experience in pastoral care and student support.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range (MPS to UPS for Outer London).
  • Additional TLR of £5,866.73.
