Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Engineering and Design and Technology to students at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Develop and implement inclusive teaching strategies that support all learners, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and well-rounded curriculum.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and training to enhance teaching practice.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in Engineering and Design and Technology.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote student engagement and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Engineering and Design and Technology.
  • Proven ability to deliver vocational qualifications at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and social mobility.
  • Experience in inclusive teaching and working with diverse student needs.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and current trends in Engineering and Design and Technology.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in safeguarding and child protection practices.
