The Opportunity:
As a Student Services Officer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the school’s Student Services office and Reward Shop. This role is essential in supporting the school’s positive behaviour policy and ensuring students receive the recognition and guidance they need to succeed. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student welfare and committed to fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations of the Student Services office and Reward Shop.
- Provide high-quality support, guidance, and care to students, staff, and parents.
- Promote and implement the school’s positive behaviour policy through recognition and engagement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for students and families, ensuring effective communication and resolution of concerns.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to ensure consistent application of behaviour and welfare policies.
- Monitor and report on student engagement and behaviour trends.
- Organise and deliver student-focused initiatives that encourage responsibility and positive conduct.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student services and reward systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in a student support or administrative role within an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Understanding of positive behaviour management strategies and inclusive practices.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school environment with a focus on student behaviour and engagement.
- Knowledge of reward systems and strategies to encourage positive conduct.
- Experience with supporting students with additional needs or those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
