The Opportunity:

As an English Curriculum Advisor (Secondary), you will lead curriculum development and support across multiple academies, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. This role is ideal for a driven professional looking to influence education policy and make a meaningful impact on student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based curriculum strategies aligned with the Ofsted Framework and IB programmes.
  • Provide strategic support to subject and senior leaders across key stages 3 to 5.
  • Collaborate with a team of 17 Curriculum Advisors to drive innovation and best practices.
  • Conduct regular visits to academies to ensure consistency and quality in teaching and learning.
  • Support the development of both secondary and primary curriculum initiatives in English.
  • Work closely with Trust executives to align curriculum goals with organisational priorities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of curriculum changes on student achievement.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the Trust to promote shared success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of English or senior leader, such as Assistant Principal.
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in English curriculum design.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire staff across multiple academies.
  • Commitment to raising educational standards and student achievement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.
  • Familiarity with the Ofsted Framework and best practices in education.
  • Experience in multi-academy trust environments.
  • Background in teacher training or professional development.
  • Strong track record in curriculum innovation and improvement.
