The Opportunity:

As a Maths Curriculum Advisor (Secondary), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the maths curriculum across multiple academies. This is an opportunity to influence teaching and learning at a strategic level, with a focus on continuous improvement and student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement evidence-based maths curricula aligned with the Ofsted Framework and International Baccalaureate standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to secondary subject and senior leaders across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with a team of 17 Curriculum Advisors to ensure consistency and excellence in teaching and learning.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning to secure the best outcomes for students.
  • Foster strong relationships with staff, pupils, and stakeholders across the Trust.
  • Support the development of maths curricula in both secondary and primary settings where applicable.
  • Deliver training and professional development to staff to enhance teaching practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of maths education within the Trust.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Head of Maths or senior leader in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and curriculum development.
  • Experience in curriculum innovation and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to raising standards and student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience with International Baccalaureate programmes.
  • Experience in multi-academy trust environments.
  • Leadership experience in school improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
