The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Media Studies Teacher to contribute to a dynamic and innovative Creative Arts Faculty. This role involves delivering Media Studies and Digital Media courses at KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a focus on GCSE-level exam groups. The position is ideal for experienced teachers and also supports early career teachers within a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Media Studies and Digital Media lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Utilize Adobe Software including Photoshop and Premiere Pro to enhance practical and theoretical learning.
- Collaborate with the Studio Technician to support practical coursework and lesson delivery.
- Foster student engagement and achievement through innovative and imaginative teaching methods.
- Contribute to the development of the Creative Arts Faculty and participate in a bespoke CPD programme.
- Support student welfare and promote the school’s WE BELIEVE principles in daily practice.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain and enhance teaching practice.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Media Studies or related subjects.
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Software, including Photoshop and Premiere Pro.
- Experience teaching Media Studies and Digital Media at KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Commitment to student well-being and the promotion of inclusivity and kindness.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a supportive and innovative teaching environment.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or Photography.
- Transferable skills from other subjects such as English or Photography.
- Experience with exam group teaching at GCSE Level.
