The Opportunity:

This role involves delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-level. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and academically rigorous lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students in developing strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of the English curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practice and student outcomes.
- Provide clear explanations and strong subject knowledge to support student learning.
- Encourage a love of literature and develop students’ ability to write with clarity and sophistication.
- Participate in professional development and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives.
- Support students in achieving excellent academic results and progressing to higher education.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong degree in English or a closely related discipline.
- Experience teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience teaching at A-level.
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English.
- Experience with Eduqas and AQA specifications.
- Experience in supporting students’ academic and personal development.
