Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons that inspire a love of the subject

• Support students in developing their skills, confidence, and cultural capital
• Participate in continuous professional development and share best practice
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with QTS (or eligible for ECT status)
• Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and assessment requirements
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
• Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives
• Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
• Experience in supporting students with diverse needs
