Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11 to 16, with a focus on GCSE preparation.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement and progress.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly to ensure continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s leadership specialism and character development programme.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and student outcomes.
- Support students through pastoral care and mentorship, contributing to their overall well-being.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the school’s leadership programme.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience of delivering high-quality teaching that leads to positive student outcomes.
- Ability to teach to GCSE standard.
- Proven track record in achieving sustained improvements in student attainment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and implementing creative and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience working in a school with a leadership specialism.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TEFL).
