Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5 in History and English at Key Stage 3.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated teaching and assessment strategies.
- Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of the curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, and collaborative planning sessions.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to the school’s wider community.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in History and English at Key Stage 3.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality learning experiences and student progress.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the school’s vision.
- Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities within the school.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching History across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stage 3.
- Experience with exam preparation and marking.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and pedagogical practices.
- Experience in working within a Catholic school environment.
