The Opportunity:

As an English Teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and supporting students to achieve outstanding academic outcomes. This is a great opportunity for experienced teachers or those looking to build A Level expertise in English.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality English lessons that challenge and engage students.
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full academic potential.
• Work collaboratively with the English department to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
• Support students in preparing for A Level and other academic qualifications.
• Participate in the school’s professional development and training programmes.
• Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral activities.
• Engage with the Chrysalis East programme to support local schools and raise attainment.
• Maintain accurate records and assess student progress regularly.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Experience teaching English at A Level or equivalent.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality education and student success.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and take on leadership responsibilities.
• Willingness to undergo child protection screening and Disclosure and Barring Service checks.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Background in working with academically ambitious students.
• Involvement in co-curricular or pastoral activities.
• Experience in or interest in the Chrysalis East programme.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive salary range of £30,010 - £62,500 FTE, depending on experience.
