Key Responsibilities:

• Teach KS3 Science and KS4 Chemistry in line with school and departmental expectations.
• Plan, prepare, and evaluate lessons according to departmental schemes of work and school policies.
• Contribute to the development and review of schemes of work across KS3 and KS4.
• Support the creation of a departmental bank of teaching resources that are inclusive and accessible.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support departmental goals.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, upholding high expectations for behaviour and learning.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of enrichment activities, including clubs and educational trips.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
• Experience teaching KS3 Science and KS4 Chemistry.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning and delivery.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Commitment to student progress and pastoral care.

Preferred

• Experience with assessment and marking policies.
• Familiarity with safeguarding procedures.
• Experience in developing and delivering enrichment activities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
