Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge students across Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Support students in making the best possible progress through innovative and effective teaching methods.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a stimulating English curriculum.
- Engage and motivate students through a variety of learning experiences and extra-curricular opportunities.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and achievement.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing growth of the department.
- Support the school’s commitment to inclusivity, well-being, and student success.
- Work closely with students to foster a positive learning environment and encourage a love of learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
- Experience in teaching English at Key Stages 3 & 4.
- Commitment to student progress and engagement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to curriculum development.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or pastoral support.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar.
- Leadership experience or an interest in taking on leadership roles within the department.
