The Opportunity:
As an Estates Compliance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety, and legislative compliance of the school’s estate and grounds. This role involves inspecting, testing, and servicing essential equipment across multiple sites, ensuring all actions align with policy, best practice, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of essential equipment across multiple sites.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legislative requirements.
- Record all inspection results and take necessary actions in line with foundation policy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all compliance activities.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to address any identified issues or risks.
- Support the Estates Department in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all site users.
- Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety procedures.
- Monitor and report on compliance performance across the school estate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in health and safety compliance or a related field.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with health and safety management systems.
- Experience with equipment testing and maintenance.
- Understanding of building and grounds management procedures.
