The Opportunity:
As an Estates Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing and coordinating building maintenance, refurbishment, and construction projects. This is a vital position that supports the school’s mission to provide a high-quality, modern learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage multiple building maintenance, refurbishment, and construction projects simultaneously.
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and school staff.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure all work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, schedules, and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and school policies throughout all project phases.
- Collaborate with other departments to align project goals with the school’s strategic objectives.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and sustainability in estate management.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress and any potential risks or issues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in coordinating building maintenance, refurbishment, or construction projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of professionalism.
- Proficiency in project management software and office applications such as Microsoft Office.
Preferred
- Experience in the education sector or within a school environment.
- Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate or similar curricula.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in construction and maintenance.
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting for projects.
