The Opportunity:

As a Sports and Activities Manager, you will oversee the daily sports, activities, and events of a prestigious summer programme for students aged 13–17. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student development, with a focus on delivering high-quality, engaging experiences that promote both personal growth and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate sports, activities, events, and festivals for the summer programme.
  • Deliver practical on-campus sports sessions and lead IMPACT Skills sessions.
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all students throughout the programme.
  • Organise and oversee leisure days, excursions, and other off-campus activities.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and engaging programme experience.
  • Monitor and evaluate student participation and feedback to continuously improve the programme.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff.
  • Support the development of leadership and teamwork skills through sports and activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing sports and activities for young people.
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting.

Preferred

  • Experience in delivering summer or residential programmes.
  • Knowledge of youth development and sports coaching techniques.
  • Familiarity with curriculum-based activities and experiential learning.
  • Previous experience in a boarding or day school environment.
  • Strong understanding of student engagement and motivation strategies.
