The Opportunity:
As a Sports and Activities Manager, you will oversee the daily sports, activities, and events of a prestigious summer programme for students aged 13–17. This role is ideal for someone passionate about student development, with a focus on delivering high-quality, engaging experiences that promote both personal growth and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate sports, activities, events, and festivals for the summer programme.
- Deliver practical on-campus sports sessions and lead IMPACT Skills sessions.
- Ensure the safety, welfare, and well-being of all students throughout the programme.
- Organise and oversee leisure days, excursions, and other off-campus activities.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure a cohesive and engaging programme experience.
- Monitor and evaluate student participation and feedback to continuously improve the programme.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students and staff.
- Support the development of leadership and teamwork skills through sports and activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in managing sports and activities for young people.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering summer or residential programmes.
- Knowledge of youth development and sports coaching techniques.
- Familiarity with curriculum-based activities and experiential learning.
- Previous experience in a boarding or day school environment.
- Strong understanding of student engagement and motivation strategies.
