Job Description

Summary:

Exam Invigilator needed for April to June 2026. Ensure exam security and integrity with care and responsibility.

The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of internal and external exams, including GCSE and A level. You will ensure a secure and calm environment for students, supporting the smooth running of the exam process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invigilate external and internal exams, including GCSE, A level, mocks, and weekly timed assignments.
  • Set up and manage exam rooms, ensuring all materials such as whiteboards, exam papers, dictionaries, and formula sheets are prepared.
  • Assist in the setup and invigilation of exams requiring computers, audio, or video equipment.
  • Ensure the security of the exam process and remain vigilant for any signs of malpractice.
  • Act as a second person during the opening of securely-held exam papers.
  • Present a professional and reassuring presence to students and staff throughout the exam period.
  • Follow training and instructions provided by the Exams Officer.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Principal or Exams Officer.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to exam security.
  • Experience in exam invigilation or a similar role is desirable.
  • Reliable and punctual, with the ability to work during the specified exam period.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in educational or exam settings.
  • Familiarity with exam procedures and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
