Summary:
Head of Mathematics sought to lead a high-performing department with a focus on Key Stages 3–5 and Further Mathematics.

As the Head of Mathematics, you will lead a dynamic and high-achieving department, driving academic success and innovation in teaching. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about mathematics and committed to supporting students through university applications and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a high-performing Mathematics Department, ensuring continued academic excellence and innovation.
- Deliver and oversee the teaching of Key Stages 3–5, with a focus on Further Mathematics and university preparation.
- Support students in achieving strong results at GCSE and A Level, including those aiming for top university offers.
- Develop and implement enrichment opportunities such as UKMT Challenges, STEP, MAT, and TMUA.
- Promote a culture of high-quality teaching and learning that engages and challenges all students.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience teaching Key Stages 3–5 with a strong track record in Mathematics.
- Ability to teach Further Mathematics and a commitment to do so.
- Experience in supporting students with university applications.
- Confidence in delivering PHSEE (Personal, Health, and Social Education) content.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience in departmental leadership.
Preferred
- Experience with Edexcel and OCR Additional Mathematics specifications.
- Familiarity with enrichment programs such as UKMT Challenges and STEP preparation.
- Experience working in a Catholic school or similar educational environment.
