The Opportunity:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of the 2026 GCSE examination series. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of the exam process and ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations. Invigilators will work closely with academic staff to uphold high standards during the May–June exam period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare examination rooms in accordance with JCQ regulations.
  • Supervise candidates during exams with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed accurately and consistently throughout the examination period.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions provided by the school.
  • Maintain a calm and focused environment to support candidates during exams.
  • Report any incidents or irregularities immediately to senior academic staff.
  • Assist with the distribution and collection of examination materials.
  • Support the smooth operation of the examination process from start to finish.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Excellent observation and communication skills.
  • Experience in an exam invigilation or similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with JCQ (GCSE) regulations.
  • Flexibility to work during the May–June examination period.
  • Experience with large-scale examination processes.
