The Opportunity:
As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver impactful, trauma-informed tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs. This role offers flexibility, purpose, and the chance to shape the future of vulnerable learners in a supportive and mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver trauma-informed, flexible lessons tailored to individual learner needs
- Provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure student development
- Support students across KS1 to KS5, as appropriate for your expertise
- Collaborate with a dedicated SEND Support Team to ensure consistent and effective support
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment with a focus on safeguarding
- Engage in continuous professional development and mentorship opportunities
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD learners
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- 2+ professional references
- UK-based with the right to work in the UK
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
- Background in SENDCo, Intervention Specialist, or Educational Therapist roles
- Experience in trauma-informed teaching practices
