The Opportunity:

As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver impactful, trauma-informed tuition to young people with SEND and SEMH needs. This role offers flexibility, purpose, and the chance to shape the future of vulnerable learners in a supportive and mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person, online, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Plan and deliver trauma-informed, flexible lessons tailored to individual learner needs
  • Provide regular feedback and progress reports to ensure student development
  • Support students across KS1 to KS5, as appropriate for your expertise
  • Collaborate with a dedicated SEND Support Team to ensure consistent and effective support
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment with a focus on safeguarding
  • Engage in continuous professional development and mentorship opportunities

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • 2+ years of teaching experience, preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD learners
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
  • 2+ professional references
  • UK-based with the right to work in the UK
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Background in SENDCo, Intervention Specialist, or Educational Therapist roles
  • Experience in trauma-informed teaching practices
