The Opportunity:

As a Remote Teacher, you will provide essential academic and emotional support to young people with SEND and SEMH needs. This role offers the flexibility to work online, in-person, or hybrid, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a rewarding career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed Maths, English, or Science tuition to students with SEND and SEMH needs
  • Plan and deliver flexible, individualised lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning requirements
  • Complete detailed lesson reports and provide regular feedback on student progress
  • Collaborate with the SEND Support Team to ensure consistent and effective support for students
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities provided by the organisation
  • Participate in tutor community events and share knowledge and resources
  • Support students referred by local authorities and schools through targeted intervention and mentoring

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
  • Minimum 2+ years of online teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD students
  • Familiarity with teaching Maths, English, and/or Science online or remotely
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • 2+ professional references
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Preferred

  • Experience working in SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD settings
  • Background in therapeutic or learning support roles
  • Experience with trauma-informed teaching practices
  • Familiarity with remote teaching platforms and digital tools
