The Opportunity:
As a Remote Teacher, you will provide essential academic and emotional support to young people with SEND and SEMH needs. This role offers the flexibility to work online, in-person, or hybrid, allowing you to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a rewarding career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, trauma-informed Maths, English, or Science tuition to students with SEND and SEMH needs
- Plan and deliver flexible, individualised lessons tailored to each student’s unique learning requirements
- Complete detailed lesson reports and provide regular feedback on student progress
- Collaborate with the SEND Support Team to ensure consistent and effective support for students
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding policies
- Engage in continuous professional development opportunities provided by the organisation
- Participate in tutor community events and share knowledge and resources
- Support students referred by local authorities and schools through targeted intervention and mentoring
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
- Minimum 2+ years of online teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD students
- Familiarity with teaching Maths, English, and/or Science online or remotely
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- 2+ professional references
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
Preferred
- Experience working in SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or PMLD settings
- Background in therapeutic or learning support roles
- Experience with trauma-informed teaching practices
- Familiarity with remote teaching platforms and digital tools
Compensation & Benefits:
