The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and fair running of internal and external exams. You will help create a calm and secure environment for students, supporting them in their academic journey and contributing to a school that values EGScellence in all aspects of learning and life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during exams, ensuring a quiet and focused environment.
- Prepare and manage exam rooms in line with national guidelines.
- Distribute and collect examination papers accurately and securely.
- Monitor students for any irregularities and report incidents promptly.
- Work closely with the exams team and other invigilators to maintain consistency and fairness.
- Follow procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with examination regulations.
- Support the smooth running of mock exams and external assessments throughout the year.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude at all times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent.
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a focused environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
- Flexibility to work during exam periods, including May, June, and other key times of the year.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational or supervisory role.
- Experience with exam administration or invigilation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and academic success.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.05.
