The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and fair running of internal and external exams. You will help create a calm and secure environment for students, supporting them in their academic journey and contributing to a school that values EGScellence in all aspects of learning and life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during exams, ensuring a quiet and focused environment.
  • Prepare and manage exam rooms in line with national guidelines.
  • Distribute and collect examination papers accurately and securely.
  • Monitor students for any irregularities and report incidents promptly.
  • Work closely with the exams team and other invigilators to maintain consistency and fairness.
  • Follow procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with examination regulations.
  • Support the smooth running of mock exams and external assessments throughout the year.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable attitude at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or equivalent.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a focused environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Flexibility to work during exam periods, including May, June, and other key times of the year.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or supervisory role.
  • Experience with exam administration or invigilation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and academic success.
  • Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
