The Opportunity:
As a Science Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join a forward-thinking science faculty and make a real difference in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through differentiated instruction and effective assessment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a dynamic science curriculum.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of the science department.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure that all learners make consistent progress.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and STEM-related events to enhance student engagement with science.
- Work closely with senior and middle leadership to support the strategic direction of the science faculty.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in science.
- Experience teaching Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with curriculum development and innovation in science education.
- Leadership experience or interest in taking on leadership roles within the faculty.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Familiarity with STEM initiatives and outreach programs.
