The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the school’s examination process. This includes supervising students during exams, preparing and organizing examination rooms, and following strict procedures to ensure a secure and confidential environment. The role is ideal for someone who is reliable, responsible, and able to work flexibly during key examination periods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students during examinations in accordance with established procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all materials are correctly distributed and collected.
- Act as a reader or scribe when required during examinations.
- Adhere to all security and confidentiality protocols to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
- Attend training sessions to ensure full understanding of examination procedures and responsibilities.
- Be available for early morning start times and on short notice during examination periods.
- Support the smooth running of examinations by following documented processes consistently.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and short notice.
- Experience working with young people or in an educational setting.
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain a secure and confidential environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an exam invigilation role or similar position.
- Experience with professional development and a willingness to participate in training.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a school or college environment.
