The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the school’s examination process. This includes supervising students during exams, preparing and organizing examination rooms, and following strict procedures to ensure a secure and confidential environment. The role is ideal for someone who is reliable, responsible, and able to work flexibly during key examination periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during examinations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure all materials are correctly distributed and collected.
  • Act as a reader or scribe when required during examinations.
  • Adhere to all security and confidentiality protocols to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
  • Attend training sessions to ensure full understanding of examination procedures and responsibilities.
  • Be available for early morning start times and on short notice during examination periods.
  • Support the smooth running of examinations by following documented processes consistently.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and short notice.
  • Experience working with young people or in an educational setting.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain a secure and confidential environment.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an exam invigilation role or similar position.
  • Experience with professional development and a willingness to participate in training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in a school or college environment.
