The Opportunity:
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of internal and external examinations. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to upholding the integrity of the assessment process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth and secure conduct of internal and external examinations.
- Monitor candidates to prevent malpractice and maintain a fair and controlled environment.
- Follow all procedures and guidelines related to exam invigilation.
- Report any issues or incidents promptly to the Examinations Department.
- Assist with the setup and management of examination venues.
- Maintain accurate records of examination activities.
- Attend mandatory training sessions to ensure compliance with examination policies.
- Support the ongoing development of the Examinations Department through your contribution and feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable adults.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Availability during peak exam periods (December, January, May, and June).
- Flexibility to work variable hours during main examination periods.
Preferred
- Previous experience in an educational or exam-related role.
- Experience with safeguarding procedures and policies.
- Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
- Experience in a college or tertiary education setting.
