The Opportunity:

As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and fair administration of internal and external examinations. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to upholding the integrity of the assessment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the smooth and secure conduct of internal and external examinations.
  • Monitor candidates to prevent malpractice and maintain a fair and controlled environment.
  • Follow all procedures and guidelines related to exam invigilation.
  • Report any issues or incidents promptly to the Examinations Department.
  • Assist with the setup and management of examination venues.
  • Maintain accurate records of examination activities.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions to ensure compliance with examination policies.
  • Support the ongoing development of the Examinations Department through your contribution and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability during peak exam periods (December, January, May, and June).
  • Flexibility to work variable hours during main examination periods.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in an educational or exam-related role.
  • Experience with safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
  • Experience in a college or tertiary education setting.
