The Opportunity:
As a Graphics Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education and inspiring students to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and creative department that is dedicated to innovation and student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Graphics.
- Set and mark work in accordance with the school’s assessment policy, ensuring accurate recording of student progress.
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, promoting positive behaviour and attendance.
- Develop strong relationships with students and colleagues to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department to support the administration of teaching and learning.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, including team and full staff meetings.
- Teach in other departments where required, supporting a flexible and collaborative approach.
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and students, including attendance at consultation and open evenings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards obtaining a teaching qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and inspire students in a classroom setting.
- Commitment to a student-centred approach to learning.
- Awareness of current developments in the field of Graphics.
- High level of organisational and administrative skills.
- Understanding of the Catholic ethos and commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Graphics or related subjects.
- Experience with Edexcel qualifications and assessment methods.
- Experience in delivering A-Level Graphics Design courses.
- Ability to manage large classes and support student progress effectively.
- Experience in pastoral care and student support.
