The Opportunity:

As an Examinations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of mock and public examinations across the Senior Schools and Sixth Form. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity of the assessment process and supporting students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and delivery of mock and public examinations.
  • Oversee the organisation of examination timetables and logistical arrangements.
  • Supervise a team of invigilators, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Liaise with examination boards, US universities, and teaching colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with examination best practices and reasonable adjustments for students with special needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and handle data effectively.
  • Support the review and remarking of examination papers during key periods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in managing examination arrangements within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in handling data and using relevant software.
  • Ability to relate to young people and provide clear instructions.
  • Previous experience in invigilation or related roles.

Preferred

  • Experience in managing a team of part-time staff.
  • Familiarity with examination boards and their procedures.
  • Experience with special needs support in an educational context.
