The Opportunity:

As an Exams Officer, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the school’s examination processes to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to deliver high-quality education and make data-informed decisions that benefit student achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning and coordination of examinations across all year groups.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all assessment processes.
  • Liaise with teachers, students, and external exam boards to maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and report on examination performance data to support school improvement.
  • Coordinate the logistics of exam periods, including venue arrangements and timetabling.
  • Support the implementation of data-informed strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to examinations and assessments.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on examination procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in examinations management or a related role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
  • Experience working within an educational setting, ideally in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with data analysis or reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with school improvement strategies and student achievement tracking.
  • Experience in a large or all-through school setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks.
