As the Head of Performing Arts, you will lead and inspire the music and drama department, ensuring a high-quality curriculum that drives student progress and achievement. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an innovative and high-impact performing arts curriculum.
  • Lead and support a team of music and drama teachers to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
  • Foster a strong school culture that reflects the values of ambition, resilience, and kindness.
  • Promote student engagement and achievement in performing arts through extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with the school’s strategic vision and goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the performing arts program to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Represent the performing arts department in school-wide initiatives and events.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of performing arts facilities and resources.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a performing arts department.
  • Strong subject knowledge in music and drama.
  • Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of teachers.
  • Commitment to student well-being and character development.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school with a strong performing arts program.
  • Background in school improvement or leadership development.
  • Experience with Ofsted-inspected schools.
  • Familiarity with virtue-based education and values-driven learning.
  • Experience in leading professional development and coaching for teachers.
