The Opportunity:
As an Exams Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth administration and organisation of all external examinations. This is a vital position that supports the school’s commitment to academic excellence and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all aspects of external examinations in line with awarding body regulations.
- Line manage a team of internal and external exam invigilators, including recruitment and scheduling.
- Ensure accurate recording and management of examination data.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and external bodies regarding examination processes.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of examination materials.
- Support the smooth running of exams during term time and INSET periods.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with all examination policies and procedures.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting on examination administration activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Experience in managing data and records.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a school or educational setting, preferably in an examination-related role.
- Familiarity with examination regulations and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in managing a team or line managing staff.
- Knowledge of exam systems and software.
- Experience with exam invigilation processes.
- Understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
