The Opportunity:
As an Exams Officer, you will play a vital role in administering public examinations and ensuring compliance with regulations. This position is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to delivering a high standard of service to students and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the administration of public examinations and certifications.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with college and awarding body regulations.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with staff, students, and external agencies.
- Support the Exams team in delivering a seamless and efficient examination process.
- Provide guidance and support to students and staff on examination procedures and requirements.
- Monitor and report on examination performance and compliance standards.
- Liaise with external agencies and awarding bodies to resolve any issues or queries.
- Ensure all documentation is up to date and stored securely.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Experience in exam administration or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of examination regulations and procedures.
Preferred
- Experience in a further education or sixth form setting.
- Familiarity with awarding body requirements and standards.
- Experience with using exam management software or systems.
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role.
