The Opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a nurturing and dynamic educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality instruction to Key Stage 1 students.
  • Assist with planning and preparing learning resources and activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
  • Monitor and support student progress and behavior during lessons and breaks.
  • Collaborate with teachers and colleagues to ensure a consistent and positive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
  • Contribute to the overall well-being and development of students through a caring and supportive approach.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A genuine passion for working with young children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers.

Preferred

  • NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of Key Stage 1 curriculum and teaching approaches.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a good sense of humour.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £21,050 and £23,800 per annum.
  • Term-time only working hours (Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm).
