The Opportunity:

We are seeking an EYFS Practitioner to join our pre-school team and support high-quality teaching, learning, and care for our youngest learners. This is a year-round, part-time role offering a supportive and dynamic working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and academic skills through play-based learning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain detailed records of children’s progress and development.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment for all children.
  • Collaborate with the wider team to ensure consistent and effective practice across the nursery.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the environment is clean, tidy, and well-organised at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Experience working with 3-year-olds in an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work across all 52 weeks of the year.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic or faith-based educational setting.
  • Experience with child-led learning and play-based pedagogy.
  • Previous experience in a nursery or pre-school environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary between £24k and £25.5k (dependent on experience).
