The Opportunity:

A Piano Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality one-to-one piano lessons to students across all levels. This role involves preparing students for performances, examinations, and concerts, while contributing to the dynamic musical life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 30 weekly one-to-one piano lessons to students of varying abilities
  • Prepare students for concerts, examinations, and other performances
  • Act as a departmental accompanist and support rehearsals and ensembles
  • Contribute to the musical life of the school through assemblies, performances, and events
  • Collaborate with the Director of Music and other departmental staff
  • Support the development of students’ musical skills and confidence
  • Maintain high standards of teaching and student engagement
  • Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong piano performance and teaching experience
  • Ability to teach students from beginner to advanced levels
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality music education
  • Experience in preparing students for performances and examinations

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy
  • Experience with music technology or digital teaching tools
  • Ability to contribute to the wider musical life of the school
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
