The Opportunity:
A Piano Teacher is needed to deliver high-quality one-to-one piano lessons to students across all levels. This role involves preparing students for performances, examinations, and concerts, while contributing to the dynamic musical life of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 weekly one-to-one piano lessons to students of varying abilities
- Prepare students for concerts, examinations, and other performances
- Act as a departmental accompanist and support rehearsals and ensembles
- Contribute to the musical life of the school through assemblies, performances, and events
- Collaborate with the Director of Music and other departmental staff
- Support the development of students’ musical skills and confidence
- Maintain high standards of teaching and student engagement
- Participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong piano performance and teaching experience
- Ability to teach students from beginner to advanced levels
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality music education
- Experience in preparing students for performances and examinations
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational setting
- Knowledge of music theory and pedagogy
- Experience with music technology or digital teaching tools
- Ability to contribute to the wider musical life of the school
- Strong organisational and time management skills
