Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, child-centred learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework and Development Matters.
- Implement observation-based assessment to support individual learning and development.
- Deliver inspiring lessons that promote early literacy, phonics, and maths skills.
- Contribute to the IB PYP and wider curriculum, ensuring a holistic approach to education.
- Support pupils' academic and pastoral development through positive classroom management and engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.
- Participate in co-curricular and school events to enrich the learning experience.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and resilience.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, Development Matters, and observation-based assessment.
- Experience in early literacy, phonics, and maths teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and students.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB PYP curriculum.
- Background in early years education or child development.
- Experience with pastoral care and student support.
- Passion for innovation and continuous professional development.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
