The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and contribute to a school known for its pastoral care and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the curriculum
- Plan and prepare engaging and challenging teaching strategies for EYFS pupils
- Work closely with parallel teachers in a 2-form Year Group
- Teach phonics using the Read Write Inc program
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupils’ progress and development
- Maintain up to date displays and resources to support learning
- Implement the school’s behaviour policy and positive reward system
- Supervise pupils during break times and after-school activities
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong knowledge of EYFS curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred
- Experience with the Read Write Inc phonics program
- Experience working in a co-educational independent school
- Familiarity with ISAMs or similar pupil tracking systems
- Experience in leading or running after-school clubs
