The Opportunity:

As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young children's learning and development within the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering the EYFS curriculum to young children
  • Create and maintain an environment that encourages exploration, learning, and play
  • Assist in planning and delivering activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to support learning journeys
  • Follow instructions and policies while demonstrating initiative when appropriate
  • Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all interactions and activities
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the classroom

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in early years education
  • Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents
  • Patience, reliability, and enthusiasm for supporting young learners
  • Understanding of child development principles or willingness to learn

Preferred

  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting
  • Knowledge of inclusive practices and child-centred learning approaches
  • Familiarity with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
