The Opportunity:
As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of a large, state-of-the-art campus. This role is critical to maintaining the school's high standards and supporting the learning environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings and infrastructure through a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance programme.
- Manage service contracts, including cleaning, security, maintenance, and waste management.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities are in optimal condition.
- Coordinate space management and facility improvements across the campus.
- Maintain an accurate asset register for all equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards from Dubai Municipality, KHDA, and other regulatory bodies.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and lead incident investigations with corrective actions.
- Deliver health and safety inductions and coordinate first aid and fire safety training.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety and contractual obligations.
- Manage the facilities budget and prepare reports on performance and compliance.
- Support traffic, parking, and student drop-off/pick-up operations.
- Contribute to emergency response planning and business continuity strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Recognised Health & Safety certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities management with strong HSE exposure.
- In-depth knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in school, corporate, or hospitality environments.
- Certification in Fire Safety or Emergency Management.
