The Opportunity:
As an Office Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the school’s administrative functions. This is a key position that supports the leadership team and contributes to the school’s mission of fostering a positive and aspirational learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop administrative staff, including conducting appraisals and providing training.
- Ensure the efficient running of all administrative functions within the school.
- Act as a liaison between the Headteacher, Leadership Team, and the wider school community.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of school policies and procedures.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of students.
- Oversee the management of school resources and facilities.
- Assist in the planning and delivery of administrative projects and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Educated to GCSE standard at Grade A–C for a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English, or equivalent qualifications.
- A clear understanding and commitment to safeguarding and the protection of children.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or education setting.
- Leadership or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of school management systems and software.
- Experience with staff development and training.
