The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Head Cricket Coach to lead and develop the cricket programme for both boys and girls. This is a key role in maintaining the school's strong position in school cricket and inspiring student athletes at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the planning, development, and delivery of the cricket programme for all age groups.
- Deliver high-quality coaching to pupils of all standards, ensuring continued excellence in performance.
- Support the development of individual and team skills, with a focus on long-term growth and success.
- Assist with additional activities such as sports scholarship assessments and school trips when required.
- Work closely with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive and supportive sporting culture.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of players, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Ensure the programme aligns with the school’s values and educational goals.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience as a Head Cricket Coach or in a senior coaching role.
- Strong knowledge of cricket coaching techniques and strategies.
- Experience in developing young athletes and leading a sports programme.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience working within an independent or boarding school setting.
- Familiarity with sports scholarship assessment processes.
- Ability to contribute to the school’s broader sporting and community initiatives.
