Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Sociology and Psychology to students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to raise attainment and engagement.
- Support students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Social Sciences curriculum and student outcomes.
- Participate in staff development and training initiatives.
- Uphold and promote the school’s behaviour policies and values.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Sociology and Psychology.
- Commitment to raising attainment and achievement for all students.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience with NPQML, NPQSL, or Lead Practitioner courses.
- Experience in training and developing other teachers.
- Familiarity with the Ark Schools ethos and values.
- Experience in developing and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.
