The Opportunity:

As a Football Coach, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching to young athletes, helping them develop both on and off the pitch. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced coach to make a real impact on student development within a supportive and ambitious school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective football coaching sessions to students of all abilities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of coaching programmes to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Physical Education teams to align coaching strategies with school objectives.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students through adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Collaborate with staff, parents, and the wider community to support student development.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance coaching skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and use ICT tools to support learning and performance tracking.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages participation and personal growth.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UEFA B Licence or FA Level 2 qualification
  • Valid FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
  • Valid Emergency First Aid in Football
  • Previous experience of coaching young players to a high standard
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience of coaching or teaching young people in a school, club or community setting
  • Experience of monitoring and evaluating impact of sessions and programmes
  • Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding legislation
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills with parents, guardians, and players

Preferred

  • Experience working within a school environment
  • Experience with youth development programmes
  • Familiarity with the school’s ethos and values
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong motivation and enthusiasm for coaching and youth development
