The Opportunity:

As a School Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors, parents, and staff. You will ensure smooth communication and provide a welcoming environment that reflects the school’s high standards and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors and manage incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate records and manage appointments efficiently
  • Support administrative tasks and correspondence as needed
  • Assist with general office duties and ensure the reception area is well-organised
  • Provide a friendly and approachable service to all who visit the school
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support the smooth running of the school
  • Adapt to new systems and procedures as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly and approachable manner with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to multitask in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational setting
  • Previous administrative or reception experience
  • Knowledge of school policies and procedures
  • Flexibility to work term time plus inset days

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary (NJC 1.3 - £24,796 pro rata)
  • 25 hours per week, term time plus 5 inset days
  • Permanent contract with opportunities for career development
