The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a Music Administration Officer to manage the scheduling of weekly instrumental timetables for one of the UK’s largest specialist music schools. This role requires a highly organised and dependable individual who can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a student-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain weekly instrumental timetables for a large number of students.
  • Coordinate with teachers and students to ensure accurate and up-to-date scheduling.
  • Resolve timetable conflicts and provide logical solutions to scheduling challenges.
  • Support the Music Department Manager in fulfilling the demands and deadlines of the role.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and students to ensure a smooth administrative process.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to timetabling and administration.
  • Assist with non-term-time tasks as required, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness.
  • Work collaboratively with the school’s administrative team to support the overall operations of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and logical thinking abilities.
  • A student-focused approach and good interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in administration or scheduling, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software and office tools.

  • Familiarity with the UK education system and school operations.
