The Opportunity:

As a Football Coach, you will play a key role in developing young athletes across all levels of ability. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a nationally renowned Sports Department and support students in achieving their full potential in football.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach players ranging from beginners to academy standard, ensuring individual and team development.
• Deliver high-quality football training sessions that align with the school’s sporting philosophy.
• Work closely with the Director of Football/Director of Sport to implement coaching strategies and player pathways.
• Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Encourage a positive, inclusive, and competitive sporting culture among students.
• Monitor and assess player performance to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall sporting experience.
• Promote the school’s sporting values and ethos both on and off the field.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Proven experience coaching football at various levels, including with elite athletes.
• Strong knowledge of player development and progression pathways.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
• Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications.

Preferred

• Experience working in an independent or public school setting.
• Familiarity with youth sports development frameworks.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Experience with coaching boys aged 10 to 18.
• Previous involvement in competitive football programs or leagues.
