Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure high standards of education and pastoral care
  • Develop and implement a clear vision that promotes social mobility and inclusivity
  • Ensure consistently strong teaching and learning across all subjects and year groups
  • Champion inclusive practice, supporting the achievement of all students, including those with special educational needs
  • Foster a culture of professional learning and wellbeing among staff
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families, local communities, and external agencies
  • Work collaboratively with the Trust leadership and Local Accountability Board to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the academy and its staff

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience as a Principal or senior leader in a secondary school setting
  • Strong track record of school improvement and raising achievement
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of staff
  • Deep understanding of inclusive education and pastoral care
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar collaborative structure
  • Experience in developing leadership capacity among staff
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • Experience in curriculum development and innovation
