Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to pupils from Nursery to Year 6 in a stimulating and interactive manner.
- Deliver engaging lessons that encourage pupils to develop their language skills and confidence in speaking French.
- Prepare and plan lessons in collaboration with the Curriculum Leader and department team.
- Participate in weekly team meetings to share ideas and ensure alignment with school objectives.
- Support pupils in achieving their individual best through tailored instruction and encouragement.
- Encourage and nurture a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and enthusiasm for learning.
- Contribute to school performances and other extracurricular activities where French is showcased.
- Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, pupils, and parents.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in teaching French to a high standard.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and stimulating lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Commitment to working as part of a team and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and pupils.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a high level of organisation.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching French in a primary school setting.
- Familiarity with the Josephite tradition or Catholic educational values.
- Experience in preparing and delivering oral performances in French.
- Previous experience in independent or Catholic schools.
