The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage One Teacher to join our team and support the development of young learners. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children's education and personal growth within a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to the needs of Key Stage One pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist staff in subjects such as Sport, Music, and French.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
  • Monitor and support the academic and personal progress of each pupil, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet curriculum requirements and individual learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall school culture by upholding the values and traditions of the institution.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage One pupils.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Catholic school or similar educational setting.
  • Familiarity with the Josephite tradition and its values.
  • Experience with bilingual education or teaching French.
  • Confidence in delivering creative and cross-curricular lessons.
