Summary:

Key Stage Two Group Tutor needed for September 2026. Support pupils in Years Three and Four with high-quality teaching.

The Opportunity:

As a Key Stage Two Group Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils in Years Three and Four. You will work within a team, delivering engaging lessons that encourage individual progress and achievement. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons tailored to the needs of each pupil.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and specialist teachers in subjects such as Sport, Music, and French.
  • Support pupils in developing a positive attitude towards learning and achieving their full potential.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and discipline in the classroom.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage resources to support effective teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Key Stage Two pupils.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take responsibility for pupil progress.

Preferred

  • Experience with inclusive teaching strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Catholic ethos and values.
  • Experience with curriculum development.
  • Experience with pastoral care and supporting pupil well-being.
  • Experience with using technology in the classroom.
