The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join our EYFS team and support young learners in a warm and encouraging environment. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the early development of children, while working within a supportive and well-resourced team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons tailored to the needs of young learners.
- Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist teachers to enhance the curriculum in subjects such as sport, music, and French.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Monitor and support the individual progress of each pupil, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and carers.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
- Promote the values of the Josephite tradition and maintain a strong sense of community within the school.
- Ensure a safe and secure learning environment in line with safeguarding policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development and curriculum requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
Preferred
- Experience with bilingual education or teaching French.
- Familiarity with inclusive education practices.
- Experience in a Catholic or values-based school setting.
- Previous experience with pastoral care and student support.
